Privacy Policy for “Wach!”

2. Scope

This privacy policy applies to the Android and iOS app “Wach!”. It describes data access and processing in the current version of the app. The Nirevio website privacy policy additionally applies when you visit this webpage.

3. No collection or transmission by the app

Wach! has no proprietary server connection. The app creates no user account and uses no advertising, analytics, tracking or marketing services. It transmits no usage data, device identifiers, alarm data, audio files or other personal data to the developer or third parties.

4. Data processed only on the device

Wach! stores only the following information on your device to provide its features:

• alarm times, labels, weekdays and enabled status;
• the local reference to a custom alarm sound;
• app settings, particularly for the optional wake check;
• local progress data such as streaks, completed tasks, points and badges.

This data never leaves your device. Android backup is disabled for Wach!. On iOS, the data is stored in the protected app container.

5. Custom audio files

Custom alarm sounds are selected through the operating system's file picker. On Android, Wach! receives local access to the selected file. On iOS, where technically necessary, a suitable copy is stored locally in the protected app container. The app does not upload or share audio files.

6. Permissions and device features

Wach! uses only permissions and device features required for alarms configured by the user:

• Notifications: display active alarms and the optional wake check.
• Exact alarms: trigger an alarm at the selected time.
• Full-screen display: visibly present an active alarm on the lock screen.
• Vibration, wake lock and foreground media playback: provide a perceptible alarm until the task has been completed.
• Device restart and time or time-zone changes: reschedule previously enabled alarms.
• System file picker: select a local custom alarm sound.

Wach! does not request access to your location, contacts, camera or microphone. Permissions can be changed in the device settings, which may limit alarm functionality.

7. Retention and deletion

Local data remains stored until you delete individual alarms, clear the app data through the system settings or uninstall the app. Because there is no user account and no storage on the developer's servers, no additional account or server-data deletion request is required.

8. App stores and operating-system providers

When you download, update or use the app, the relevant app store and operating-system provider may process data under their own responsibility. Nirevio has no control over this processing, and the provider's own privacy policy applies. Wach! integrates no analytics or advertising SDK from these providers and does not transmit app content to them.

9. Contact

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to respond to your request and any follow-up questions. Depending on the request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The information is deleted once the request has been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Emails sent to hello@nirevio.com are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Yahoo mailbox. For technical delivery, Cloudflare and Yahoo may process sender and recipient addresses, timestamps, technical metadata and message content. More information is available in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Yahoo's information notice for non-users.

10. Children

Wach! is not specifically directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children or other users.

11. Your rights

Where we process your personal data, for example in connection with a support request, you have rights subject to the applicable legal requirements, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

12. Changes

This policy will be updated before an app version with changed data processing is released, for example if accounts, cloud synchronisation, analytics, advertising or payment services are introduced.
